A Pilates-based exercise class focusing on breath & belly control no matter what our activities & goals. The extraordinary mind-body system of fitness & well-being, created by Joseph Pilates almost 100 years ago, can improve your posture & balance, create stronger abdominal muscles & improve flexibility, essential as one grows older. As your core strength increases, back pain & strain can decrease. The elegant & flowing movements of Pilates isolate core muscles, coordinate breathing & movement, and are well suited for people of all ages & fitness levels. You can build a stronger, healthier body with Pilates! Bring a mat & towel.
Instructor Joanne Fornes is Pilates-certified, Continuum-trained.  Joanne believes exercise, done with awareness & attention, is the key to longevity, vitality & health. Having taught adults & senior citizens for 10 years as a California credentialed teacher, she delights in helping people find grace & ease in movement.
