The SSSP Student Mentor Program is all about students helping students successfully adapt to the college environment. Our mentors assist their fellow colleagues meet educational goals with confidence.

WHAT DOES A MENTOR DO?
- Builds trust with students and models successful academic skills and appropriate social behavior.
- Provides encouragement to stay in college and complete a degree and/or transfer to a four year university.
- Models and encourages self-advocacy-self-reliance.
- Assists with workshops and student success monitoring.
- A Mentor is a great resource for student questions and referrals.
- Gives basic technical assistance with MyCR, Webadvisor and CR Email.
- Administers Career Assessments
