This 4 hour RRP training course concentrates on procedures for minimizing lead dust generation and soil contamination during maintenance/renovation/remodeling activitites as defined by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for certification.

*This course is a refresher for individuals recertifying an existing valid certificate.

This 8 hour EPA mandated class, required in addition to the CA DPH worker and supervisor certification, qualifies individuals performing renovations in target (pre-1978) housing and child occupied facilities (schools, day care centers, etc.).  the course focuses on following the safe work practice requirements, health aspects, regulations, containment, cleaning, and recordkeeping.

This training provides an initial 8 hour course on the appropriate handling of hazardous materials.  Students identify hazards, characterize incidents and solve problems in group settings led by a State accredited training instructor. This course also eets the training requirements for refresher traiing under 29 CFR 1910.120 and 8 CCR 5192 for HAZWOPER trained individuals.

An initial 10-hour OSHA training, then lecture and hands-on experience covering how to repair most problems encountered with buildings. Includes hand and power tool use and safety, home energy efficiency, rough and finish carpentry, plumbing, electrical, wall repair, heating systems, doors and windows, fasteners, abrasives and paint. The instructor has a varied experience from working as a mechanic, log and timber construction, home repairs and has been a licensed contractor for 25 years.

Utilizing both lecture and hands-on methods, the following areas will be covered:
