GENERAL POLICIES ADN and LVN Programs

Transfer and Challenge Policies

     Certified Nursing Assistants, Home Health Aides, Licensed Psychiatric Technicians, Licensed Vocational Nurses and others in health care worker related categories who apply to the nursing program are offered educational mobility opportunities that take into account their previous education and/or work experience.  Where applicable, academic credits shall be evaluated and applied to nursing course requirements.  Individual counseling and/or testing for advanced placement is required to assist students in making appropriate academic decisions.

2)     Transfer credit is given for equivalent college course work taken at other accredited institutions.  The Director of Nursing and Health Occupations in conjunction with course faculty and the campus transcript evaluator ultimately determine credit.

3)     Students entering as transfer or challenge applicants are admitted by the same criteria as readmission students from the C/R program.
