Advanced Officer Training Coordinator

 

The College of the Redwoods is a  P.O.S.T. -  designated Regional Skills Training Center for Advanced Officer Training.  Officers need a total of 24 hours of mandated training every two years, 14 of which are devoted to perishable skills (PSP) (defensive tactics, driver training, firearms, and tactical communications).  

CR has acquired a Force Option Simulator, Skid Car, Freddie Units, and other related equipment.

MANAGEMENT OF ASSAULTIVE BEHAVIOR

  • February 6-8, 2007  -  0800-1700  - $16.00

TACTICAL COMMUNICATIONS (PSP) - 0800-1000 hrs

ARREST & CONTROL (PSP)  -  1000-1700 hrs

taught as a combination in an 8 hr block - .5 college unit - $14.00
Wear appropriate PT gear & full web gear with baton

FORCE OPTION SIMULATOR TRAINING (non college credit course)
All F.O.S. course offerings will be conducted at the Firing Range Building.  Officers must wear their full duty gear and duty uniform WITHOUT WEAPON OR LIVE AMMUNITION.  Plain clothes officers should wear what they wear on duty.
