AJ-189 Corrections Academy

The Corrections Core Course is certified by the State of California Standards and Training for Corrections (STC) and is designed to meet the statutory basic training requirments for employment as an adult correctional officer at a local detention facility. 

A Corrections CORE is scheduled for the Fall of 2009 - August 19 through September 25 (Section 25004).  A flyer is located below as well as the application form/medical clearance.  Cost of the course is $270 $336 (adjusted due to tuition increase) including tuition, health fee, parking and class supplies.  Students will be required to purchase their uniform as outlined on the flyer (see link below).
