COMMENCEMENT ANNOUNCEMENTS
Printed Commencement Announcements are available in the CR Bookstore.  The cost is $4.50 per package of 12.  Single announcements are $.40, which includes an envelope. 

CAPS AND GOWNS
Caps and gowns may be purchased in the CR Bookstore through May 13th during regular store hours.  The Bookstore will be open on Commencement Day, May 14th from 9:30 am to 2:00 pm; however, we strongly recommend that you do not wait until that day to purchase your cap/gown.  These are keeper gowns, which are non-returnable.  Purchase price is 30.25 plus tax.  Tassels only are $6.00.  

GRADUATE RECEPTION
Graduates and their families, faculty and staff of College of the Redwoods are cordially invited to attend the Graduate Reception to be held immediately after the ceremony in Dining Services.  Enjoy free refreshments and the opportunity to mingle with faculty and fellow students. Transportation from the graduation ceremony to the reception will be provided for those who need this service.

VIDEOTAPING
The Ceremony will be videotaped and video-streamed on the CR webpage at www.redwoods.edu.  There will be a DVD available for purchase.

PHOTOGRAPHS AT THE CEREMONY
During the ceremony, a professional photographer will photograph each graduate.  The photo service will email or mail digital proofs to the graduate depending on the type of address you provide on the GradImages info card mailed to all graduates.  Pricing and order forms will be provided with the proofs.  Family and friends are welcome to take photographs as long as they show courtesy to other guests and do not interrupt the ceremony.

SIGN LANGUAGE INTERPRETERS
To encourage full inclusion, sign language interpreters will be interpreting the ceremony.

SEATING ACCOMODATIONS FOR THOSE UNABLE TO SIT IN STANDS
For guests who may be attending but who are wheelchair users or unable to climb the stairs into the stands, limited seating will be available on the floor.

GIFTS
The Bookstore has a fine selection of gifts for the graduate; diploma frames, Alumni license plate frames, coffee mugs and other CR imprinted gifts.  The Bookstore will be open 9:30 am to 2:00 pm on Commencement Day.

FLOWERS/GIFTS FOR GRADS
Flowers, leis, and other gifts will be on sale in the Gym Lobby before and after the ceremony (proceeds benefit the CR Alumni Foundation).

GUESTS
Due to space issues, graduates may invite no more than 5 guests to the graduation ceremony. Graduates may pick-up their guest tickets from the Admissions and records windows on the main level of the Administration building. We will be directing un-ticketed guests to our over-fill location to watch the ceremony live on video stream in the Forum Theater. 

GRADUATE REMINDERS

• Plan to attend rehearsal – Friday, May 13 10:00 a.m. in the gym (you do not need to wear cap/gown to rehearsal).
• BE ON TIME…10:00 a.m. on Commencement Day.
• Pay attention to instructions
• Be dressed in your cap and gown when you arrive.  Be sure your gown is zipped up and your appearance is neat.  You’ve accomplished a great feat and should look your best.
• Please turn OFF all cell phones before the Ceremony begins
• Leave all personal belongings such as purses, flowers, cards or gifts with family members.
• Smile and be happy – this is a celebration of your accomplishments!
• Plan to attend the Reception after the Ceremony in Dining Services
