The Office of Institutional Research

Sharing Data and Information: Providing data and analysis for the measurement of program outcomes, planning and decision-making, external accountability requirements and responding to incoming data requests
Consultation and training: Consulting with faculty and staff to help identify measurable outcomes and data indicators for their programs. Developing and delivering sessions on how to access and use data for planning and decision-making.
Building Research Capacity: Identifying data needs, validating data extracts and files, creating a research and reporting schedule, creating a centralized source for data and developing protocols for data requests.
 

 Implementing Institutional Research at College of the Redwoods

The Office of Institutional Research, in collaboration with Title III staff and the IR Advisory Committee, is currently focused on building a strong foundation data informed decision making at the College of the Redwoods. In the the last 6 months IR has been involved with strategic planning efforts, consulting with faculty and staff regarding critical data and information needs, and developing training to keep the CR community informed

Current Projects: 

  • Providing collaboration for all aspects of strategic planning and leadership for institutional effectiveness and communication in the CR community
  • Creating capacity for data informed decision making using a variety of solutions for reporting, analysis and training
  • Reviewing and publishing reports and information to national, state, community organizations, and the CR community
  • Creating and analyzing surveys for the College
  • Validating the integrity of data, survey results and reports published by Institutional Research
  • Creating and maintaining intranet and internet sites to facilitate communication
  • Designing reports on key performance indicators, student learning outcomes, enrollment, trend analysis, survey results, retention, persistence, and completions
  • Developing and implementing methods to support the research needs of faculty and staff
