Course Success

Operational definitions used for retention and success calculations are established by the Research and Planning Group for California Community Colleges.

Course Success Definition:  Student succeeds in the course.  A, B, C, CR, P grade notations

Course Success Rate:  Percent of students successful in courses out of total enrolled in courses.  The success rate is calculated by dividing the numerator by the denominator and multiplying by 100.
