  • For students enrolled in 12 or more units. This scholarship is provided by Schmidbauer Lumber Company through the Challenge Grant. Preference is given to employees and the families of employees of Schmidbauer Lumber Company. 
     

 

James H. and James R. Beacom Scholarship

Beca Cinco Quarenta Scholarship

  • Student must be ineligible for any state or federal financial aid and qualify under Assembly Bill 540.  Students should include reasons why they need this money in their student statement.  Preference given to Humboldt, Del Norte or Mendocino high school graduates.  Preference given to Hispanic students.

  • For a student in the nursing program with financial need. This scholarship is provided by: Registered Nursing Class of 1991, Nursing Leadership Council of Humboldt-Del Norte Counties, College of the Redwoods Nursing Department and the “Adele Dozier Smith Scholarship” fund of Humboldt-Del Norte Medical Society Auxiliary.
College of the Redwoods Police Academy Scholarship

  • For a student enrolled in the Police Academy at the Eureka Campus. Preference will be given to a student who will remain in Humboldt County and serve in law enforcement. This scholarship was funded through the North Coast Defense Fund.

  • For a student enrolled in 6 or more units.  Must provide an additional essay explaining how the three R's (Recycle, Reuse, Reduce) are incorporated into their lives and how they are making a difference in their community through volunteering, community service or other activities.

  • For a student who has completed two consecutive semesters at half-time (6 units) or more at CRMC with an academic emphasis in art or science. A special faculty committee will select the recipients based upon the application/essay submitted and the following factors: academic achievement/GPA; art or science emphasis; community service and/or extracurricular activities; personal essay/statement of purpose. The scholarship is a perpetual scholarship and the award amount varies each year. The scholarship will be presented annually at the Spring Scholarship Award Celebration. Note: this scholarship has an additional application.
CRMC Neva Cannon Memorial Scholarship

  • For a CRMC student who is planning to pursue a career in education or teaching.  The student must also have completed a total of 12 units and currently be enrolled in at least 6 units.  This scholarship was generously provided by the estate of Neva Cannon, a long-time Mendocino Coast educator and the first woman principal in Fort Bragg.  The scholarship will be presented at the Spring Scholarship Award Celebration.
CRMC Thomas Cannon Memorial Scholarship

  • This scholarship was generously provided by the Cleary Family in memory of Robert & Jean Silveira as a testament to their hard work and family commitment. For a CRMC student completing an AA in University Studies in the spring and transferring to a four-year university in the fall.  Student must display outstanding leadership, campus involvement and/or community service.  Selection is made by a special committee. This scholarship will be announced at the Spring Scholarship Celebration and the check will be released upon proof of fall enrollment at a four-year university.
 
CRMC Coastal Mendocino Association of Realtors Scholarship (Community Partnership)
FALL Scholarship

  • This annual award has been established and funded by the Coastal Mendocino Association of Realtors. For a student who has completed a minimum of 12 units at CRMC and is currently enrolled in full-time units. Both financial need and merit will be considered in awarding this scholarship. Special consideration will be given to the graduates of Mendocino and Fort Bragg High Schools. Selection is by a special committee. This scholarship will be awarded in the fall—using the Fall Scholarship cycle. The check will be released upon proof of full-time spring registration.
CRMC Susan Detjens Memorial Scholarship

CRMC The Grind Scholarship

This award is made possible through proceeds earned by the operation of The Grind, the campus store. CRMC Grupo Latino Americano Scholarship

  • Minimum GPA: 2.5
  • This annual award is presented by the Grupo Latino Americano student organization at CRMC. This award recognizes Latino heritage, academic achievement and financial need, as well as participation in clubs, organizations and/or community service activities promoting multi-cultural and multi ethnic understanding. A student must currently be enrolled in ¾ to full-time units and have completed 12 units at CRMC. This scholarship is presented at the Spring Scholarship Award Celebration and is not limited to students of Hispanic/Chicano origin.
CRMC Rogan Kimberly Cinco Quarenta Scholarship

  • This annual award has been established by Mel and Susan McKinney for students ineligible for any state or federal financial aid and who are exempt from paying nonresident tuition at California Community Colleges under Assembly Bill AB-540.  This award is given in memory of Rogan Kimberly.  This scholarship will be presented at the Spring Scholarship Award Celebration. Proof of fall registration will be required before the award check will be released.

This award is open to a CRMC student who is graduating from CRMC and transferring to a four-year school in the fall to pursue a BA/BS degree. Selection is by special committee. CRMC James Krenov Scholarship

The Scholarship was provided by Robert J. Marshburn, Past-President of the Endowment Board, and Julie Marshburn, a CR graduate and winner of the President’s Award in 1995. Selection is made by a special committee. Award amount varies. The scholarship is presented at the Spring Scholarship Award Celebration.
CRMC Mendocino Coast Audubon Society Scholarship (Community Partnership)

  • Distinctive Area: Transfer with specific field of interest
  • Minimum GPA: 3.5
  • This annual award has been generously provided by the Mendocino Coast Audubon Society.  For a student graduating from CRMC and transferring to a four-year institution in Fall 2007 to pursue a BA/BS degree in Biological or Environmental Sciences (Biology, Ecology, Botany, Ornithology, Zoology, Environmental Science, Environmental Restoration, Environmental Interpretation, Fisheries Biology, Marine Biology, Resource Management). Preference given to students who attended a Mendocino Coast high school. A special scholarship committee will select the recipient and the award will be announced at the Spring Scholarship Celebration. The recipient is expected to attend one MCA chapter meeting to be acknowledged and speak briefly on career plans. Proof of fall registration will be required before the award check will be released.
CRMC Louise Mikelsen Barker Memorial Scholarship

CRMC Phi Theta Kappa ‘The Rock’ Scholarship

  • For a CRMC student enrolled in 12 or more units who is working towards a degree. This award is presented by Beta Alpha Pi, the CRMC chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. While the award is not available to current Phi Theta Kappa officers, it is, however, available to general members and non-members. This award is presented annually at the Spring Scholarship Celebration.

CRMC Jack Romine Memorial Scholarship
Fall & SPRING Scholarship

  • For a student with financial need or extraordinary potential enrolled in the Fine Woodworking Program at CRMC.  This scholarship has been established in memory of Jack Romine, a gifted woodworker all his life.  Selection is by a special committee of Fine Woodworking faculty and staff.  One scholarship will be awarded annually during October and one during March.

  • For a CRMC student with financial need enrolled in the Fine Woodworking program to encourage them to continue with the craft of fine woodworking.  Preference will be given to a female woodworker.  This scholarship is provided by Bob Wandruff, former woodworking student, to honor his wife, Dorothy Wilson Wandruff.  Selection is by a special committee and the award is given annually in March.  
CRMC Winter in the Redwoods “Achievement Awards” Scholarship

Half of the scholarships will be awarded considering financial need and half based on merit alone. Awards will be presented annually at the Spring Scholarship Celebration.
CRMC Winter in the Redwoods “Patron” Scholarship

  • For a student who has completed a minimum of 12 units at CR and is currently enrolled in at least 6 units. The student must have financial need and must demonstrate extracurricular involvement and community service. Awards will be presented annually at the Spring Scholarship Celebration.
CRMC Winter in the Redwoods “Super Benefactor” Scholarship

  • For a student who has completed a minimum of 24 units at CRMC and is currently enrolled in ¾ to FT hours. The student must be committed to a degree or certificate program. This award will be presented at the Spring Scholarship Award Celebration.  The check will be released upon proof of ¾ to FT Fall registration. This award is open to a CRMC student who is planning on transferring to a four-year school in the fall. 
CRMC Women of Inspiration Scholarship

  • For a student with financial need who is enrolled in a minimum of 9 units.  The student must be ready to transfer to a 4-year university in the fall.  Preference will be given to women who are single parents.  Selection is by a special committee.  This award will be presented at the Spring Scholarship Award Celebration and the check will be released upon proof of ¾ to full-time fall registration.  This award has been established to honor women who have inspired others towards excellence in their lives.  This year the award honors Debbie Banks-Tyndall, R.N., a former CRMC graduate who has dedicated her life to the betterment of others.
