Are you eligible for ACT - AmeriCorps at CR?

You must.

1. Want to explore becoming a teacher.
2. Enroll in one class at College of the Redwoods.
3. Be willing to complete 300 hours of training and service in one academic year.
4. Be at least 17 years of age at the time of service.
5. Be a US Citizen, a US National or lawful permanent alien.
6. Have at least a 2.0 GPA.
7. Make progress towards your academic goal of transfer to a four-year institution.
8. Be able to pass a FBI and DOJ finger print screen and Child Abuse Index Check with College of the Redwoods.
9. Be willing to complete 300 hours of training and service in a year.

In addition:

• Reading Tutors must have successfully completed English 150 or equivalent (College Reading and Writing)
• Math Tutors must have successfully completed Math 375/376 or equivalent (pre-algebra)
