Famous Diamonds

Trace the history of some of the world’s famous diamonds. Signifying power, wealth and beauty, these diamonds have been owned by royalty and a few by private citizens. Surrounded by mystery, some have a very long and infamous past. Enjoy beautiful photography of the diamonds while their lineage is being traced.

Martha Snyder is an independent jewelry appraiser and owner of MJS Gemological Laboratory. She is a Graduate Gemologist (Gemological Institute of America) and Senior Member of the National Association of Jewelry Appraisers. Martha has twenty years’ experience in the jewelry industry in management and consulting, as well as appraising diamonds and fine jewelry. Gems and jewelry have been a lifelong passion for Martha and she has had the privilege to see many of the world’s most famous gems.
