College of the Redwoods is offering a series of management training courses focusing on the three essential skills for managers this fall at the Eureka Downtown Site at 605 K St.
These three courses are Feedback, Coaching, and Performance Reviews. They can be taken either individually or as a series.
The first course, The Power of Feedback, will be offered Friday, Sept. 28 from 1 to 5 p.m. Students will learn to effectively ask for a change by giving constructive feedback in four easy steps. Then they will learn to receive it constructively—even when it is not given in a positive way.
The second course, Coaching: Developing Others, will be offered Friday, Oct. 12 from 1 to 5 p.m.. Students will learn to prepare employees to take on more responsibility by solving problems, making decisions, and tackling new challenges.
The third course, Successful Performance Reviews, will be offered Friday, Oct. 26 from 1 to 5 p.m. at the CR Eureka Downtown Site at 605 K St. Students will learn to prepare employees for a review which will increase motivation and productivity, to manage expectations during the session, and to create an atmosphere that encourages openness about concerns and plans for the future.
These courses were developed by AchieveGlobal, the worldwide leader in business training, and are taught by Janet Ruprecht, founder of the local leadership training company, Actions Speak Louder.
The fee for each is $85. To register, or for more information, please call CR Community Education at 269-4000.
