She's a keeper. Amy Moody, captain of the College of the Redwoods women's soccer team and its goalkeeper, gave an outstanding defensive performance on Friday -- despite the fact that CR fell to Southwestern Oregon Community College 5-0.

Salmon, Redwoods Baseball End Season on High Note Salmon fishing may be closed here on the North Coast and around California this year, but nobody told the Shasta baseball team. College of the Redwoods starting pitcher Matt Salmon had the Knights fishing for hits all game long.

Fortunately for the College of the Redwoods men's basketball team Tuesday night, while they had difficulties offensively, their defense paved the way for a 74-44 victory over Mendocino College. |
