Hearing the Music
Gerry Moore raised a family of musicians, so naturally he didn’t attend many sports events while his two sons were growing up. That all changed when his granddaughter, Ines Castro-Moore, moved from Lisbon, Portugal, to Eureka this year and started playing volleyball for College of the Redwoods, where Moore taught music for the first 35 years the school was in existence.

The College of the Redwoods volleyball team swept visiting Contra Costa 30-18, 30-25, 30-16 to earn its first victory of the young season.

CR Girls Volleyball Camp
College of the Redwoods invites all girls entering grades 6th through 8th to our summer volleyball camp. Camp will run from 9:00am to 12:00noon, beginning August 14th and ending August 16th.

The College of the Redwoods Board of Trustees unanimously voted to appoint Dr. Jeff Marsee to serve as CR’s permanent president/superintendent beginning on July 1 during a special Trustees meeting on Tuesday, April 29.

Salmon, Redwoods Baseball End Season on High Note
Salmon fishing may be closed here on the North Coast and around California this year, but nobody told the Shasta baseball team. College of the Redwoods starting pitcher Matt Salmon had the Knights fishing for hits all game long.
Baseball Gets Win
College of the Redwoods ended its 17-game losing streak on Wednesday, beating the Humboldt State Club Team 14-2 in a non-conference game at Eureka.

Redwoods shows no mercy on Mendo
If one aspect of the team isn't functioning very well another has to compensate. Fortunately for the College of the Redwoods men's basketball team Tuesday night, while they had difficulties offensively, their defense paved the way for a 74-44 victory over Mendocino College.
CR to Open with #13 Modesto at Napa Tournament
College of the Redwoods will open against the North's #13 team Modesto College in the first round of the Wine Country Classic in Napa.
