CRMC to offer late-starting fall semester classes

The College o the Redwoods Mendocino Coast Center is offering 11 late-starting and shorter-term classes for students who either didnft get all the fall semester courses they wanted or who need to develop more computer skills.
A three-unit Conversational Spanish class will be held every Tuesday from 6 to 9:45 p.m. beginning Sept. 9. It will be taught by Loreto Rojas.
Three sections of English 52, a writing laboratory class designed to improve basic writing skills, have been opened. Depending upon the number of hours taken, one can earn a half unit, one unit or 1.5 units.
Other late-starting classes include:
œ Selected Topics in Geology,one-half unit, Tuesday and Thursdays from 6 to 9 p.m.
œ An online, three-unit General Psychology (Psych 1) class starting Sept. 22.
œ A one-unit Art class using Watercolors, Acrylics and Collage starting Sept. 3. It meets Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to noon.
œ There are also seven computer classes starting in October, including Intro to Windows, Intro to Microsoft Office, Intro to Excel, Internet and E-mail Skills and Intro to Powerpoint. All of them are one-half to one-unit classes and meet from 6 to 9 p.m.
