A trio of College of the Redwoods baseball players are set to take their games to the next level.
Justin Yslas will be joined by Matt Burwell as the pair are headed for Dickinson State University in North Dakota.
"It's a good opportunity for them to get a chance to play and step in as juniors and hopefully make an impact," CR head coach Bob Brown said.
Last season, Yslas batted .221 with two home runs and 11 RBI for CR. He pitched two games compiling a 3.86 ER with seven strike outs and one walk.
Burwell went 2-4 as a pitcher last season for CR with a 8.32 ERA. He compiled 25 strikeouts and 30 walks in 11 appearances.
Another Corsair, Jon Collier is headed to Concordia University in Portland, Ore. Last season for CR, Collier appeared in 15 games earning a 2-3 record and a 6.61 ERA. He had 14 strikeouts and 26 walks.
