Southern Oregon head men’s basketball coach Brian McDermott announced today the signing of College of the Redwoods sharpshooter Sam Osofsky to play basketball for the Raiders in 2010-11.
Osofsky, a 6-5, 185 guard, averaged 12.3 points for the Corsairs and also shot 89 percent from the free throw line and 44 percent from the 3-point line.
In high school, Osofsky averaged 27 points and eight rebounds and shot 46 percent from the 3-point line.
“We are really excited to add Sam to the mix,” McDermott said. “His signing makes this without question the best shooting group we have had since I have been here. Sam will be a great teammate with good work ethic. He also really knows how to play and is not just a shooter. He will be perfect in our motion offense.”
