Kelsey Jones had six kills to lead College of the Redwoods in a Golden Valley Conference volleyball match at Shasta on Wednesday, but it wasn’t nearly enough as the Corsairs were swept in three games, falling 25-12, 25-18 and 25-12 for their third consecutive loss.
“Lack of consistent energy, poor serve-receive passing and not being aggressive at the net were three major issues tonight,” said CR head coach Marla Gleave.
Redwoods (0-2 in the GVC and 4-4 overall) had zero blocks in the match.
CR’s Kristyn Rook led the team in digs with nine, while Bethany Rapp and Morgan Psalmonds each had one service ace.
The Corsairs play at Butte on Friday and Siskiyous on Saturday before returning home Oct. 25 to host Lassen.
