History
The Redwoods Community College District was formed January 14, 1964, by an election of the people of Humboldt County. A bond issue of $3,600,000 was passed for the initial construction phase of the college

Philosophy
The primary objective of the College is the success of each student. We consider education to be a process of intellectual and physical exploration that rests upon the mutual responsibility of the College and the student.

Accreditation Statement
Designated lower-division, baccalaureate-level courses at the College of the Redwoods are approved for transfer to all branches of the University of California (UC) and to all of the California State Universities (CSU).

The Redwoods Community College District has a commitment both to our students and to our community.

Facilities and Grounds
Our goal is to provide a safe, clean and up-to-date facility that will allow our students a distraction free and rewarding educational experience.

College of the Redwoods Foundation
To support the educational programs of the Redwoods Community College district by soliciting and receiving gifts, dispensing funds to assist students, and promoting the general welfare of the College.

College of the Redwoods is located in Northern California. There are three campuses, each is set in a picturesque environment between giant redwood groves and the Pacific Ocean.
