Welcome International Students!

Thank you for your interest in attending College of the Redwoods (CR). CR is a two-year public community college offering transferable lower division courses to four-year colleges and universities. We currently offer 23 Associate of Science Degrees, 11 Associate of Arts Degrees and 40 Certificate Programs. Our tuition is inexpensive, costing around $6,846 per year. CR's performance is consistently above the average of other California community colleges both in student transfer rates to the California State University (CSU) and the University of California (UC) systems, and in student performance in upper division courses once enrolled in a 4-year college/univeristy.

Deadlines for international student applications are:

  • Fall term: June 1
  • Spring term: November 1

College of the Redwoods is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. Designated lower-division, baccalaureate-level courses at the CR are approved for transfer to all branches of the University of California (UC) and to all of the California State Universities (CSU). CR is on a semester system: Fall (August to December) and Spring (January to May). The courses are equivalent to the first two years of four-year degree programs.
