Blackboard at College of the Redwoods

It is very important to keep your personal information current in Blackboard at CR. Please follow these steps as soon as you login to Blackboard for the first time.

Step #1 Login to Blackboard

Login to Blackboard using your Username and initial Password (or personalized password if you have already changed it.)

At the Welcome screen, locate the Tools menu on the left-side of the screen, click Personal Information.

Step #2 Change Your Password

After clicking Personal Information, select Change Password. Enter your new password twice and click Submit.

Note: It's important to change your initial Blackboard password to something that other people cannot easily find out.

Step #3 Update your Email Address

After clicking Personal Information, click Edit Personal Information.

Type in an e-mail address that reflects the account that you use most frequently. If you do not have an email account, you can register for a free one at Hotmail or Yahoo.

Note: In Blackboard, your email address is the same as the one in the Web Advisor system. If you update your email account in WebAdvisor, you must also update it in Blackboard.
