CREDIT/NO CREDIT (CR/NC)
Some courses are offered on a Credit/No Credit grade
option basis–see course description listings.
Regulations for Credit/No Credit are:
- “Credit” is granted if a student satisfactorily completes
the minimum course requirements (i.e., earns a C grade
or better).
- “No Credit” is granted when a student does not
satisfactorily complete the basic course requirements.
There is no grade point average penalty attached to a “no credit” grade, however; NCs are considered as nonprogress
(see Probation and Dismissal Policies which
follow). No units are received/awarded for NC grades.
- Unit credit is awarded for a Credit grade.
- Units on a Credit basis shall be disregarded in
determining a grade point average for all purposes for
which a grade point average is required.
- The Credit/No Credit option applies only to courses so
identified in this catalog’s course descriptions or in the
Schedule of Classes.
- Students must file their request for Credit/No Credit
grading in the Admissions and Records Office at the
Eureka campus or Administrative offices at branch
campuses or instructional sites. The deadlines to file
these requests are listed in each term’s class schedule.
