| An introduction to the process of human communication with emphasis on public speaking. Topic and purpose choices, research and organization of materials, language choices, audience analysis and adaptation, listening principles, values and ethics of persuasion are to be studied as part of the course. |

| This course is a study of small group communication principles and an application of those principles in class. Critical thinking will be emphasized as the development and effective functioning of groups is studied. |

| This course is designed to increase interpersonal effectiveness in informal communication settings. Students will read, discuss, and apply concepts and principles dealing with interpersonal communication: the process of sending/receiving messages between two persons or among a small group with some effect and immediate feedback. |
