Distance Educaton

Distance Education is designed for students who want to take a College of the Redwoods course, but for a variety of reasons either cannot take the course on campus or prefer the distance education environment.

Proposing a Course

For more information about teaching a course through Distance Education, contact Mark Winter or view the Introduction to Online Teaching (Flash video) online movie prepared by Mark Winter. The presentation is about 12 minutes in length and contains an audio track. It was created using PowerPoint and Camtasia software.

Online Training Resources

@ONE Training provides free and low cost training in distance education technologies for California Community College faculty. These resources can provide valuable skills for teaching online.
