The Wildland Fire School will be offered again this year at the College of the Redwoods Del Norte Educational Center in Crescent City. This one week class on basic firefighting techniques will be held March 13 through 17, 2017 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and will be taught by Captain Jon Maxwell. Students will receive the following certificates: L180, S190, S130 and the training needed to apply for a federal government firefighter job. Students 15 years old and older are encouraged to attend.
