Disability Resource Center (High Tech Center)
DISABILITY RESOURCE CENTER PROGRAMS

Disabled Students Programs and Services at College of the Redwoods, Del Norte offers two programs of instruction in the Disability Resource Center (High Tech Center). Each provides individualized instruction by specialized instructors. The purpose of these programs is to ensure equitable opportunities for students with disabilities in the regular classroom. The following programs/classes (Guid. 343, 345, 379, 380) are open-entry and can be added throughout the semester


ASSISTIVE COMPUTER ACCESS/TRAINING

Specialized assistive computer equipment and software are available to students with a variety of disabilities to support the regular college curriculum. Students who are interested in Assistive Computer Access and training may take Guidance 379, Introduction to Adapted Computer Use, and up to 4 units each semester of Guidance 380, Adapted Computer Assisted Instruction. The instructional staff of the Disability Resource Center trains students to use assistive equipment and software programs including, but not limited to, those shown to the right.
