Nursing Advisement

Marcy Foster (476-4157) and Sheila Hall (476-4155) are the advisors in the Counseling office for nursing students.  Students are encouraged to seek course related advisement and counseling from nursing faculty.   All students should have an Education Plan (EP) on file in Counseling to be sure that all nursing degree requirements will be met at the time of graduation.  Students cannot receive NCLEX results until the A.S. degree has been posted on the graduate’s transcript. The Director of Nursing and Health Occupations is also available to students for advising questions that cannot be answered by college counselors and nursing faculty.  All requests for course equivalency of classes taken at other colleges and universities should be submitted to the college evaluator as early as possible to ensure that program requirements are met.  A form is available from the Health Occupations Department office for this purpose.
