ENSEMBLES
The College
of the Redwoods Music Department offers several ensemble opportunities.
Music
Ensemble (Music 42) is a course in small ensemble performance.
The music covered may be chamber music in the European classical
tradition, jazz, or both, depending on a given semester’s
enrollment. This one unit course can be repeated four times for
credit. Spring semester only.
Opera
Production (Music 44) is the study and performance of a specific
opera or musical theatre work. This is a two-unit course that
can be repeated three times for credit. Spring semester only.
Chorale
(Music 59) is The College of the Redwoods choir, which performs
publicly. This is a one-unit course that can be repeated four
times for credit.
Studio
Band (Music
64) is The College of the Redwoods jazz band,
which performs publicly. This is a one-unit course that can be
repeated four times for credit.
Concert
Band (Music 61) is The College of the Redwoods concert
band, which performs publicly. This is a one-unit course
that can be repeated four times for credit.
