The College of the Redwoods Art Department provides a wide variety of rigorous and exciting courses with facilities that include a drawing/painting room, a design room, a computer lab, a sculpture studio, a ceramic studio, a photography darkroom, a gallery, and a lecture room for Art History and Art Appreciation. The students we serve include art majors, those seeking general education requirements for transfer to university, those seeking training for a variety of CR degree programs, or any member of the community who seeks to enhance their skills in pursuit of their professional goals. Our faculty are highly skilled practicing professional artists who provide coursework that is thoughtful and challenging, yet nurturing and accommodating to diverse interests and inclinations.
