Community and Economic Development
REAL ESTATE, FINANCE
& INVESTMENT
Courses are
open entry/open exit. CR has the Department of Real
Estate approval for four distance learning courses and
courses include real estate textbooks. Once lessons
and multiple choice questions are completed, mail them to
the college where they will be graded and returned to you.
At that time, you will suggest the name of a person who can
administer your open book final examination.
The test administrator cannot be related by blood, marriage,
or any other relationship to the person taking the
examination. If you are local, the exam is
taken in the college library. A certificate of
completion to submit to the California Department of Real
Estate will be given to you when you successfully complete
the course. The instructor is available by mail,
phone, fax and e-mail. All sales license applicants
are required to complete a college level course in r.e.
principle, r.e. practice, plus one other approved statutory
course, such as r.e. finance, r.e. appraisal, legal aspects
of real estate, r.e. economics, etc., before being
allowed to take the real estate sales
license examination. The Real Estate Sales
Exam is administered in Oakland, Sacramento, Fresno, Los
Angeles, or San Diego. Students have one year
to complete each course from the date of enrollment.
