Construction Technology - Woodworking

About the Woodworking Program

Woodworking at College of the Redwoods spans all levels of skill. At the highest end of the trade there is James Krenov’s world famous Fine Woodworking Program in Ft. Bragg’s Mendocino branch campus and the high quality craftsmanship bred through the intense course of study. Eureka’s main campus maintains a woodshop that is more of a formal woodshop setting where students learn by making projects based on "stepping stone" assignments and "free choice" projects that make all levels of woodworkers succeed. Men and women from ages 19 – 80’s work in our woodshops, which support tools and machinery to accomplish just about any type of project. The Klamath/Trinity branch campus offers machine and woodworking procedures at the Hoopa High School woodshop in the evening. If success is what you are seeking and woodworking attracts you, then come and join us in one of our shops. Visit the "Projects" page to see student examples from the Eureka campus.
