Welcome to the College of the Redwoods
Child Development Center (CDC). The CR Child Development Center
is a unique program for children from one year of age until kindergarten
enrollment. The CDC provides child care and development services
for students enrolled in the college and provides a training site for
students in Early Childhood
Education and other college programs related to children and families.
Child Care Programs
Available
State Preschool Wrap-Around
Services - This program provides
both preschool and child care to children aged 3 years of age (by December
2 of the current school year) and entrance to Kindergarten. Children
must attend a minimum of 6-1/2 hours per enrolled day including the
time period of 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. This is a subsidized
program. Families must show both a need for care and need for
financial subsidy.
Infant-Toddler General Child
Care Services - This program
provides subsidized child care services to children age 12 months to
3 years of age. Families must show both a need for care and need
for financial subsidy.
CR CalWORKs Child Care Services - This
program provides subsidized child care services to children of CR students
from age one to five (Kindergarten entrance) whose families are CalWORKs
recipients.
Fee-for Service Child Care Services - This program provides general child
care for children ages one to five (Kindergarten entrance) who do not
qualify for the above programs.
Faculty/Staff Child Care Services - This program provides general child care for children ages one
to five (Kindergarten entrance). Please call for rates.

Handbook
The Parent Handbook addresses the program philosophy,
goals, days and hours of operation, staffing, admission policies and
criteria, subsidized child care programs, attendance, fee-for-service
program, fees and payments, health policy, and other items concerning
the services available at the Child Development Center.
