Thursday, May 8: $5.00 Accident Slam Poetry Event:  7-9 pm at the Accident Gallery in Old Town.  210 C St.  (707) 268-5548.

Remember, all you have to do is go, take notes, get a program of ticket stub, and write a one-page journal (double-spaced) that is your review of the event.  The journal is due at the next class session.

Also, I would greatly appreciate it if you'd email a friend or two about this class, which will be offered again in the fall semester.  In addition, if you've enjoyed the class and found it worthwhile, would you post a comment on ratemyprofessors.com  Students often check this website for information on potential profs, and it can be a good way of learning about an instructor.  However, so far, no Eng. 33 students have ever posted on this website.  Thanks for your help in making next semester's workshop a succeess!

    3) Discuss "Communist"
    4) Share writing exercises (that you did in pairs or more).
    5) Dave will collect and hand back work; he also check with those folks he's not sure about for Story 2, Draft 2.  Some of you turned this in as a polished piece, but didn't give Dave a copy to grade.

 
Homework 1) Make sure to buy the booklet of polished pieces in the bookstore this week.
2) Read each of the pieces in the class booklet of polished pieces and write a one-paragraph comment to each, emphasizing the successes in the piece.
3) Mark your calendar for the potluck, which will be on Friday 5/16 from 10-noon.  Remember that failure to attend will cost you 50 pts.
