Unit Test 2: Part A (Finding and Fixing Fragments)
More Practice

Practice Problems: In the paragraph below, circle the number of any fragment.  Then repair the fragment by either joining to the appropriate sentence or making it stand alone.  Hint: There are six fragments.

(1) Of all the difficulties growing up.  (2) Dealing with siblings often turns out to be the most complicated.  (3) If you have never suffered this problem, count yourself as lucky.  (5) For those of you, however, who have had siblings and fought with them.  (6) Then you know how utterly annoying they can be.  (7) This is particularly a problem when it involves sharing things or sharing spaces.  (9) Sharing toys is difficult to do.  (10) Especially when it’s your favorite toy and your sibling decides it’s his or hers, too.  (11) Parents seem only concerned that siblings get along.  (12) So any sort of justice takes a back seat.  (13) Then there’s the problem of sharing rooms.  (14) If you have to share a room with a sibling.  (15) It’s almost better to label everything in the room and draw a line down the center than expect your brother or sister to honor your space.  (16) While only children may think childhood was a breeze.  (17) Those who have siblings know it wasn’t just a walk in the park.
