• Excellent use of multi media to help illustrate some aspect(s) of the story or poem

• Presentation takes significantly beyond a first reading of the story, whether through analysis, biography, criticism, etc.

• Presenters involve the class in the material through discussion, activity, etc.

• The presentation involves a close reading of the story, not generalization

• Presentation stays within the time limit
