(You can choose from "The Lottery," "The Yellow Wallpaper," "A Good Man Is Hard

it already), and "The Tell-Tale Heart." A) Look over 1D in your Bedford Handbook on how to write a formal outline (with complete sentences). Then type up a formal outline (with complete sentences) for Paper 2 (due at Class 17). Don't forget to start at the top of the outline by labelling your thesis. B) Type up a complete bibliography of the sources that you will use for Paper 2, including both the story itself and the secondary source you're using. (Note: If you're using the film on Joseph Campbell, you'll find the bibliographic citation for the film under the section entitled "MLA" on our website. Dave will collect these at Class 17, so do make sure that you save it for yourself as a template from which to craft your paper. C) Type up an introductory paragraph for Paper 2 in MLA format for next Tuesday. Make sure that your thesis is underlined. Dave will check these off for 10 pts., and we'll share them aloud at Class 17. D) Have your first draft of Paper 2 ready to go for a Draft Workshop at Class 19. The final draft of this paper will be due at Class 21. |
