Laura Koskinen

Laura Koskinen is a photographer and writer.  She has received two BAs from Humboldt State University in Journalism and Photography and will attend graduate school in the Fall of 2004 for her MFA in Photography.  As the mother of nine very interesting children, Laura has learned the art of moving to the difficult rhythm of others without sacrificing her soul.  Her own mother taught her the importance of family.  Her father—the value of truth.  Elsa, her grandmother who immigrated to New York City from Finland, taught her the power of resilience.  Learning how to make jelly-drop cookies comes in handy too.
