Pat McCutcheon

Pat McCutcheon: From the fifth grade teacher who displayed her first poem on the classroom bulletin board, to the CR teacher who gave her permission to write, which her degrees and formal education had not given her, writing for her has often been tangled up with teaching.  Jammed in around part-time jobs, full-time teaching, grading papers, and raising kids, she scrambled for time to write.  Now she lives in Arcata with her partner of almost twenty years, and those three children they raised sometimes visit.  Her chapbook, Recovering Perfectionist, was published in 1996.  Some of the journals in which her poems have recently appeared include Confluence, Cumberland Poetry Review, Evansville Review, Nightsun, Owen Wister Review, Pearl, Sanskrit, and The MacGuffin.
