Jude NutterJude Nutter is from North Yorkshire, England. She
moved to the United States in the 1980s and spent 10 years homesteading
on Wrangell Island in Southeast Alaska. Her
poems have appeared in numerous journals and anthologies, including: Indiana
Review, Wilderness, Stand (UK), Northwest
Review, Journal of the
American Medical Association, Alaska
Quarterly Review, Nimrod International Journal, Gulf
Coast, MARGIE, Another
Chicago Magazine, the 1996
Yearbook of Magazine Verse (Monitor Press) and Wild
Song (Georgia Press). Her
poems have received prizes too numerous to mention. Her
first full-length collection, Pictures
of the Afterlife, was published by Salmon Poetry, Ireland,
in 2002; her second collection The
Curator of Silence is forthcoming from Notre Dame Press. In
2004 she will spend time in Antarctica as a participant in the
National Science Foundation’s Writers and Artists Program. |
