Transfer Alliance Program
College of the Redwoods negotiates special
transfer
agreements linking community college honors/scholars' programs to
specific universities, large or small, public or private. Students
completing our programs then enjoy enhanced transfer consideration at the
partner-campus, e.g., guaranteed or priority acceptance, special
scholarships, housing priority, and a range of other academic and social
benefits such as library privileges even before transfer. |

Honors Program
Transfer Alliance Program
College of the Redwoods' Honors Program is a member of UCLA's Transfer Alliance Program, which means that CR TAP members have priority admission, special scholarship opportunities, and transfer from CR Honors to UCLA Honors. Any student who completes 15 units or more honors classes at CR is eligible for TAP.
Since Fall 2000, the admission rate for UCLA TAP applicants has seen a steady rise as the number of TAP applicants has risen 93%. But though non-TAP transfer student applications have also increased, the admission rate for those non-TAP applicants has stayed about the same---leaving TAP transfers with a 47.43% increased chance of admission over non-TAP transfer students.
If you are interested in transferring to UCLA and have questions about TAP or you need any other information about Honors benefits, please contact George Potamianos at 476-4318 or e-mail george-potamianos@redwoods.edu.
Take a look at the chart below to see how TAP membership impacts your chance for successful admission to UCLA.
