- Use the Periodic "Add event" link
to add most of show dates.
- The Periodic link is for the

run;
- Use the Daily link on the
calendar bar to add the rest.
- Example: Look at the calendar
below.
- The show runs every Friday and
Saturday of its run.
- Adding one Periodic entry will
cover all eight of those performance days.
- Adding three Daily entries
will add the rest, a Thursday and two Sundays.

For this show, the Periodic link is used to
add:

- Make sure the Until year is the
one you want! (It starts off defaulted at
2002!)
- Repeat your show using Repeat by Day
of Week box; use "Ctrl" or "Shift" keys to choose the days of
every weekend your show plays. In our example, it is only
Friday and Saturday

- Under Calendar Text, add your
Theatre abbreviation and title. This will appear on the Calendar.
Be as brief as possible. Under Popup text, type or paste
anything you want to say about your show. If a Curtain Call site
visitor clicks on your show title on the calendar, this
information will "popup" in it's own window.
- Hint: Copy your show
description from your brochure or website and past it
here.
- Hint: Be persuasive; sell it!
Include your full theatre name and box Office phone number.

- Hint: Copy what you put in the
pop-uptext box for later steps.
- Alternative: take Curtain Call
visitor to your website area that describes your show. Click
for an Example
- Don't choose Start or End
Time for your show; it's easier and cleaner to type "8pm"
in the calendar text box.
- Choose your theatre:
You are done; click on:
- Then you will see:

- Now add the other performance dates; in
our example, they would be Thur 5, Sun 15 and Sun 22
- Click on the "5" in the calendar bar,
you'll go to Daily events. Click on Create, and
add your show information.
- Hint: If you copied show info
as suggested above, just paste it in popup text box to save
time.
- Submit, and repeat for "15"
and "22." Click on View Calendar to see your
entry.
- Last note: the Edit link opens your work and you can
change what you've done; the little scissors icon at
the end of the calendar bar will cut your entry and remove it
entirely from the calendar.
- Last hints: Nobody wants to
retype show description for each entry! Here's a few ways to
get to it easily:
- Word processor: Have your
show information in another program open at the same time as
your browser, minimized. Activate it anytime you want to
copy and paste
- Calendar: view your
calendar, click on the show title, select what is there and
copy it.
- Edit entry: click on
the edit link, copy text from popup text box to paste on
another entry.
- Alternative:
take Curtain Call visitor to a website that describes your
show.
- Go to your own web site. Copy the
link that goes to your show. Paste it in the Popup text
box.

Now, when a Curtain Call visitor clicks on your title on the
calendar, the right frame of the browser will go to your show's
website. If you want to do this, take note:
- DO NOT take them to your
full website. The buttons and theatre names on the left
frame do that. If you take them to your home-page, there will
be frames within frames and they will not work right. As site
administrator, I will change links that violate this design
element of Curtain Call.
- DO TAKE THEM to the page and
anchor of your website that goes only to the show information
that is on the calendar and which the Curtain Call site visitor
is seeking information for.
- VERY LAST HINT: Come by the Ricks
House during my office hours and I will gladly step you through
the reservation
and/or Curtain Call adding shows process!
