Learning Resource Center  (LRC)  Photo Gallery

THE LEARNING RESOURCE CENTER at College of the Redwoods is conceived and designed to be a focal point of teaching and learning for our community. This modern, integrated learning center will enable the college to significantly enhance the learning opportunities it is committed to providing for our citizens of the North Coast.  We look forward with great anticipation to the enormous benefits it will bring to our community.
Child Development Center  (CDC)  Photo Gallery
The Child Development Center is an exciting addition to the Eureka Campus and is a permanent site for many specialized programs as well as serving our students child care needs. The new facility replaces a 4,000 square foot, 30 year old relocatable which was not designed for this purpose and will meet all the Guidelines of Title 22 and the American’s with Disabilities Act of 1990. The Center has several class/labs with observation areas, an inside covered multi purpose room, puppet theater as well as a complete food service facility and outdoor play areas for each age group.

ADA Restroom Reconstruction  (ADA) Photo Gallery

Several years ago a survey was completed to identify architectural barriers that must be removed to comply with the Americans With Disabilities Act. The State of California has provided funds at a 50% match to cover Phase I of this project.

Phase I will allow for the remodel of restrooms in the following buildings on the Eureka Campus:

Arts
Pool locker rooms
Physical Education lobby
Forum Building first floor
Forum Building second floor

We also purchased and installed Braille signage at Eureka, Del Norte, and Mendocino Coast campus locations and three automatic door openers at both the Del Norte and Mendocino Coast Campuses.

All plans and specifications are approved by the State Architects Office.

College of the Redwoods has a Disabled Student Programs and Services Department which works with our students.
