COURSE REPETITION: SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES WAIVER

In accordance with Title 5, Section 55763, the President/ Superintendent, or his designee, is authorized by the Board of Trustees to issue Special Circumstances Waivers to students who have exceeded repeatability limitations in certain courses. Waivers shall be issued only upon petition of the student and only for those courses which the Academic Services Council approves as eligible for such treatment. Upon presentation of a signed Waiver, students will be allowed to enroll in courses for which they have exceeded repeatability limits.

Grades awarded for courses repeated under the provisions of this policy and Section 55763 shall not be counted in calculating a student's grade point average.
