| COLLEGE OF THE REDWOODS | Board of Trustees Policy No. 506 |
STUDENT RECORDS
The Board of Trustees recognizes the educational and legal mandates to establish,
collect, and maintain appropriate and accurate student records. The Board further
acknowledges the need to resolve potential conflicts between California law and the
provisions of Public Law 93-380 (the Buckley Act of 1974) regarding the confidentiality of
student records. Therefore, the Board of Trustees directs the President or designee to
develop and implement appropriate administrative regulations and procedures to ensure
compliance with applicable federal and state laws governing student records.
Adopted by the Board of Trustees: August 15, 1977
