ADMISSIONS POLICY
The Board of Trustees, authorized by California Education Code Section 76000, directs
the admission of eligible applicants within the following priorities:
1. The College shall admit any California resident possessing a high school diploma or the
equivalent thereof.
2. The College may admit any California resident who is over 18 years of age who does
not possess a high school diploma or the equivalent and who, in the judgment of the Board,
is capable of profiting from the instruction offered as determined by the President or
designee.
3. The college may admit any nonresident possessing a high school diploma or the
equivalent thereof.
4. The college may admit any nonresident who is over 18 years of age who does not possess
a high school diploma or the equivalent and who, in the judgment of the Board, is capable
of profiting from the instruction offered as determined by the President or designee.
5. The college may admit special part-time or full-time students (Enrollment of Minors)
who, in the opinion of the President or designee, could benefit from advanced scholastic
or vocational courses. Admittance of such students shall conform with California Education
Code Sections 48800, 76001, and 78210-78217, and with Board of Trustees Policy No. 502.
