GIFTS, GRANTS, DONATIONS

Individuals and organizations periodically wish to contribute supplies, equipment, or real property to enhance college programs.

The District may accept gifts by official Board action.

The District reserves the right to not accept gifts which do not contribute toward the achievement of College goals or if ownership would deplete the resources of the College or be of only limited use by the College.

Any gift accepted by the Board shall become the property of the District and is subject to the same controls and regulations as are other District real or personal property.

ln no case shall acceptance of a gift be considered an endorsement by the Board of a commercial product or business enterprise or institution of learning.

Neither the District, nor its employees or agents, shall establish, for tax purpose, the value of any gift or donation.
