The Academic Support Center helps students reach their educational goals by developing their academic skills and encouraging them to become independent learners.
In addition to responding to student requests for assistance, the ASC staff anticipates student needs and provides services such as individual and group tutoring, instructional handouts, workshops, and supplementary computer programs. Our Center also supports faculty and classroom instruction through assessment and testing administration.

 The ASC has a number of computer stations with Internet capabilities, all of which are connected to laser printers. There is a $0.10/page fee for printing and cards must be purchased in the Library. Computer-assisted programs are already available for some disciplines, and instructors may contact the ASC if they have licensing/copyright permission for additional software programs and would like them to be accessible on ASC computers.

The ASC has six small rooms in which individuals or small groups may meet and/or study for a limited period of time. These sound-reduced modules are also available for DSPS students for accommodative testing purposes. Although students must typically reserve the rooms in advance, drop-ins are welcome on a first-come, first-served basis. |
