Academy of the Redwoods offers opportunities that are unlike any other school in our area. Students take a rigorous two years of high school courses to prepare them for college classes. Most students start taking college classes during their sophomore year. During the junior year most students take a few high school classes and two or more college classes. During the senior year most students primarily take college classes.
Support: Academic Support is a big part of the curriculum at Academy of the Redwoods. Support time is scheduled for students through all four years. Teachers, aides, and college tutors are available during scheduled support time. Students are never "thrown into a college class": they develop study skills and habits through their high school classes and are given tutoring for all of their classes at AR and CR.:
