How the High Tech Lab Can Benefit You

If You Are Blind
State-of-the-art speech synthesizers combined with screen reading programs enable blind students to "see" the computer screen.

If You Have Low Vision
Screen enlargers magnify text and graphics up to 16 times normal and include single line display and scrolling.

If You Are Deaf
Special word processing systems and other adaptations help solve written language difficulties.

If You Have Mobility Impairments
Adaptive technology and keyboard modifications allow disabled students to produce written material.

If You Have Learning Disabilities
Word processors, spell checkers, screen readers, speech synthesizers, and text enlargers facilitate the writing process.  Tutorials assist other areas of learning.

If You Have Acquired Brain Injuries
Special software assists in rebuilding cognitive skills, memory and organizational strategies.
